With the $1,625 in donations received from our December 2020 “Giving Tuesday” campaign and recent donations from members, Assistance League provided 205 boxed meals to frontline workers at Loma Linda Medical Center-Murrieta.
On Thursday, February 17th approximately 100 meals were delivered at 11:00 a.m. in time for lunch and the remaining meals were delivered at 7:00 p.m. for the evening shift of workers. An Assistance League brochure was included with each meal. Thank you to Catherin Pepe, Senior Development Officer, LLUMC, for all her help in coordinating the order and meal delivery, “It was so amazing!!!!! Thank you so very much. Because of you our tirelessly, hardworking frontline workers enjoyed delicious meals. We are truly blessed by your generosity and continued support. Our team is so grateful!”
The boxed meals were prepared and delivered by Which Wich sandwiches in Murrieta. Sandy Word, Which Wich owner, was very helpful in arranging the delivery and was grateful to get the business. “Thank you so much for placing your large catering order with us! Very helpful to our business.” said Sandy and Danny Word. In addition to providing the meals to the hospital workers, we also helped out one of our local businesses.
Thank you to everyone that donated and participated in making this special event happen.
